Richard Hobson Racehorse - Winners
Saint Are
I found Saint Are for a new owner of mine called David Fox. He asked me to buy him a horse to send to Tim Vaughan's. Saint Are was the ideal candidate, as i had been wanting to buy him for some time. He was a winner over hurdles in the french provinces. I always knew he would make a superb chaser, as he is very athletic and scopie. He has a fabulous staying pedigree, and it was amazing to see him win the Grade One John's Smith Sefton novices hurdle at Aintree in 2011, giving both owner and trainer their first Grade One success.
Roudoudou Ville
I purchased Roudoudou Ville for the late Philip De Wilde. I spotted him in France after winning his two bumpers, he then lost his form a little bit but as i knew his family were very immature, and that he was going to be a chaser one day i felt he was still quite an exciting chaser to take a chance with. Since joining Victor Darnall's, it has been great to see the horse do so well. Especially for his owner Suzanne De Wilde.
Trooper Clarence
I bought Trooper Clarence at St Cloud Sales for Phillip de Wilde for little money, he was a dual hurdle winner and looked to have enough size and scope to go chasing. He is improving all the time and it was great to see him get off the mark over fences at Kempton.
